Yes, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connections in AgPilotX have proven to be robust. Insero built AgPilotX with the option to hard connect the Lightbar and Hub. The system has been tested comparing the wireless to the wired connections, and it has been proven that there is no difference in functionality and performance. There are some exceptions in the presence of illegal jamming devices but these are rare if ever seen. No. However, connecting to the internet enhances the pilot’s experience by offering features like continuous background imagery. The system will work fine without a connection and will even cache some maps if they are pre-loaded in areas where the aircraft has a connection (from places like the hangar Wi-Fi) adipiscing elit. The new iPad Pros require a special “smart” circuitry for the proper charging of the iPad Pro. Although any Apple device will work with the AgPilotX, the charging circuit in the Hub must be updated before it will properly fully charge the latest versions of iPad Pro. Please contact Insero to get your Hub updated if you want it to handle the charging of the iPad Pro.
The EI MVP device needs to be setup to output the proper string of information so the AgPilotX can read it and display torque and temp on the Lightbar. Certain older models do require additional hardware updates. Please contact EI to configure the output of the data to the AgPilotX Lightbar.

You do not need to use any Controller with AgPilotX. The AgPilotX is a Controller and you can plug any meter and valve directly into the Hub for operation with no need for a third-party controller.
